Where education begins, hope grows – and no child goes hungry
Education is the key that opens doors to the future - we hold it in our hands to give children hope and a better future.
In Tanzania, education remains an unattainable dream for many children. Public schools are overcrowded, underfunded, and offer children little real prospects for the future.
Classes with over 60 students, poorly trained teachers, and a lack of individualized support mean that only 30% of children attend secondary school after primary school. For most, this means no education, no future —instead, a life on the streets, characterized by hard work and a lack of prospects.
We want to change that.
We are building a free private school for disadvantaged children –
A school that not only provides education, but also gives hope. Our goal is to start with a primary school and later build a secondary school. Our school concept focuses on high-quality education, small classes, and qualified teachers. Every child deserves a real chance –
and we want to give it to them.
But our project goes beyond education. Many children in Tanzania lack a safe home. We want to offer these children more than just a school place—we want to give them a home where they can grow up in a safe environment. Orphans and particularly vulnerable children are not only taught at our school, but also supported in their daily lives, provided with medical care, and loving care.
We look out over the schoolyard.
Parents also play a crucial role. Many of them underestimate the value of education or have never had the opportunity to attend school themselves. That's why we focus on education and support for families.
We want to help parents become financially independent in the long term – whether through vocational training or help in setting up their own small business.
The project is already taking shape! A 1.5-hectare plot of land is ready for purchase—enough space to create not only a school but also a safe home for disadvantaged children. Our long-term goal is to not only accompany the children through school but also support them on their further educational path—be it through further training, university studies, or securing a secure job.
We don't just want to build a school. We want to change lives—and thus the future of Tanzania.
